Meteorite in Ruads.—After years of research, Soviet scientists have estimated that a meteorite which fell in an eastern maritime province in 1947 originally weighed about 1500 tons. Only 100 tons were estimated to have penetrated the earth’s atmosphere.— Moscow, August 10.
