Stock Exchange Recovery
(Rec. 8 p.m.) NEW YORK, August 10. The New York share market steadied in early trading today after a sharp break yesterday had lowered the average of industrial shares by 5.21 points and of railway shares by 2.34 points. The opening business involved several blocks, ranging to 4500 shares m Pennsylvania Railroad, which held at its previous close of 26} General Motors, which lost two points yesterday, opened 2000 shares at 129, unchanged. Aircraft shares, which were among the few strong issues yesterday, extended their gains. Trading was moderate after the opening sales, with prices holding at about their initial level.
