JUNGLE WARFARE
N.Z. OFFICERS’ STUDIES IN AUSTRALIA (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 10. “It is intended that we should introduce the implications of jungle warfare into the exercises the New Zealand Army holds from time to time," said a New Zealand Army Service Corps officer, Captain R R. Harding, in Wellington today, after returning from Australia. He and three other New Zealand Army officers returned this week from a junior officers’ tactics course at the Australian Army’s jungle training centre at Canungra, near Brisbane. The other three officers are Captain John Brooke, New Zealand Regiment; Captain J. Brown. Armoured Corps: and Lieutenant P. H. Kitney, Royal New Zealand Artillery.
