U.S. Cotton Production.—The Department of Agriculture estimated today that farmers in the United States will produce 12,728,000 bales of cotton this year—seven per cent, below last year. The 10-year average output is 12,952,000 bales. This year’s production. plus a carryover of more than 11,000.000 bales, will meet domestic and foreign demands for two years.— Washington, August 8.
