K FORCE MEN IN JAPAN
N.Z. Camp At Hiro To Close (N.Z. Army Information Service) KURE, August 9. “Kiwi Camp,” at Hiro, Japan, which in the last four years has been a temporary hottie to more than 4000 K Force men, is soon to lose its New Zealand identity. Difficulty has been found recently in operating the 22-acre area and it is to be handed over to another unit to become a disposals park for military equipment. “All administrative personnel will move to Kure, where they and transient troops will be billeted by the Australians at the British Commonwealth Base Signals Regiment”
