MATCH AGAINST HAWKE’S BAY
(New Zealand Press Association) GISBORNE, August 10. The Wallabies’ selectors will decide after a training run at Napier on Friday whether to play two of the backs they have chosen for the next match of the tour, against Hawke’s Bay, on Saturday. The two players arc the three-quar-ters, R. Phelps and G. Davis, both of whom have been receiving treatment for leg injuries they suffered before the tour began. ,The Australian team, announced tonight by the manager (Mr J. W. Breckenridge), will be:— R. Tooth; R. Roberts, R. Phelps or E. Stapleton. J. Phipps, G. Davis or P. Phipps; J. Solomon (captain); B. Cox; J. Thornett; N. Hughes, D. Emanuel, A. Cameron ( vice-captain). J. Pashley; D. Strachan. P. Mooney, N. Adams.
