Mr A. W. Riddolls, senior lecturer m agricultural engineering at Canterbury Agricultural College, Lincoln will be vice-president conducting the agriculture and forestry section of the conference of the Australian and New Zealand Association for the Advancement of Science in Melbourne from August 17 to 24. He will also contribute to a symposium on tractor power. Mr H. E. Garrett, lecturer in valuation and farm management, will contribute a paper on farm economics. Mr M. K. McDermott, president of the New Zealand Kennel Club, will leave on Friday by air for Brisbane, where he will judge a dog show, to be held at the Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland show. The show will begin on Monday and continue for a week. Mr J. P. Campbell, publicity officer for the Tourist Department, is to visit Australia soon to further efforts by the department and other travel interests to bring tourists to New Zealand during the off season.—(P.A.)
