DOOMBEN TEN THOUSAND
KING’S FAIR REMAINS A FIRM FAVOURITE (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) BRISBANE, June 29. The New Zealand horse King’s Fair remains a firm favourite ror the Doomben Ten Thousand after the announcement of acceptances yesterday. The Sydney horses, Plato and Cragsley, have firmed for the race, after impressive track trials, but both are at slightly more than twice the odds of King's Fair. Another New Zealand horse, Surprise Ending, is favourite for the Doomben Cup. Surprise Ending firmed after running a good trial yesterday with Cragsley and drawing favourably at the No. 10 barrier position for the cup. The latest market order is:— Doomben Ten Thousand (run July 2). King's Fair; Cragsley, Plato, Grand Topic, The Orb: Stirrup Cup: Appleray, Cool Customer. Persian Link, Winker; Dicast, Royal Ascot.
Doomben Cup (run July 9).—Surprise Ending; Casa, Livorno; Alpine Law, Plato; Milwaukee II; Gold Quality, Grand Topic. South Coaster; Cool Gent, Lucky Leader, Persian Link. Pharoah's Castle.
