Italy Still Without A Government

(Rec. 8 p.m.) ROME. June 25. Parliamentary leaders of the Christian Democrats. Italy’s biggest political party, were reported last night to have put forward Mr Antonio Segni, aged 64. as the next Prime Minister.

They suggested him to President Gronchi, who is consulting political leaders of all parties in the search for a successor to Mr Sselba. whose Centre Coalition Cabinet resigned two days ago.

Mr Segni is a former Agriculture and Education Minister.
