TOC H WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION
A guest evening party was held at the last meeting of the Christchurch branch of the Toe H Women s Association. Mrs J. D. Miller-Mead was the guest speaker. She spoke of her experiences in Eqgland and Australia, and, as a former secretary of the Aged People’s Welfare Council, Mrs Miller-Mead gave an account of the work of the council and its future plans for the old people of Christchurch. Miss M. McDougall gave a talk of the aims and objects of Toe H. Several competitions were enjoyed by the visitors, and Dr. E. Needham, accompanied by Mrs N. Macintosh, played several violin solos. Mrs D. Mansfield presided, and representatives from many organisations and churches in the city were present. A talk on the care of the feet was given by Mrs Poulton at the June meeting of the Spreydon sub-centre of the Red Cross Society. Mrs H. Sturge presided. A CHALLENGE I challenge every jeweller in New Zealand to compete with my Diamond Rings.
