RELATION TO FOXBRIDGE IMPORTED Mr Clive Mathews, Hamilton, whose many racing successes include a New Zealand Cup win with Calibrate, has imported from England the filly Cairnduff, foaled in 1951. Cairnduff is by Rising Light (son of Hyperion) from Torrential, a half-sister by the Derby winner Spion Kop to Foxbridge, 11 times champion stallion in New Zealand. NEGATIVE SWABS (New Zealand Press Association) GISBORNE, June 16. Swabs taken from the horses So Quiet and Orawai on the second day of the Poverty Bay Turf Club’s meeting In May, have proved negative. Advice has been received by the secretary of the Waimate Racing Club that the result of the swabbing of Red Boa was negative. Red Boa won the Novice Handicap at the club’s recent meeting.
