PARKING METERS

Sir,—ln reply to “Stung Again,” I would like to say that if he considered the time he saves by not having to hunt for a parking place or walk far from his car to his client, he would not begrudge his threepences. In any case, his expense account should stand a few shillings a day. if it is not padded too much already. As for “popping in three- , pence” and finding his client out or too busy to see him, if he organised his business a little better and used . the telephone, he could obviate this. Regarding his first sentence, if per- , sons like myself did not go home laden with purchases, a lot of his ilk would be out of a job. Finally. I would like to remind him that all shoppers are not female.—Yours, etc.. HAPPY METER FEEDER. June 11, 1955.
