Britons Feel Concern
(Rec. 10.30 p.m.) LONDON. June 12. As news of the disaster at Le Mans became known, Britain’s newspapers and news agencies received anxious inquiries from persons all over Britain who had relatives and friends at Le Mans. So far as is known the only dead who may have been from Britain was Mr Jacques Diamond, aged 24, whose birthplace is given as London, in the first official police list of dead. Lance Macklin, aged 35, the London racing driver who is reported slightly injured in the crash is regarded as one of the best drivers in Britain.
