12 KILLED IN AIR CRASH

(Rec. 8 p.m.) STUTTGART, June 11. Twelve persons were killed last night when a four-engined American bomber crashed into a mountain at Kirchheim Wurttemberg-Baden -and exploded. The aeroplane, flying from England, was to have landed on Stuttgart Echterdingen airfield. Because of fog the pilot was told to fly on to Bavaria at a height of 4500 ft. According to local reports the aircraft was last seen at a height of about 240 ft shortly before crashing into the side of a mountain in thick fag.
