Situation.—A cold southerly airstream covers the South Island. Forecast:— Canterbury and Marlborough. Fresh southerly winds; weather cold and changeable, with wintry showers, but some fair periods. Outlook: occasional showers. Nelson and West Coast.—Winds from a southerly quarter, fresh in exposed places; weather fair, apart from some showers in the morning; cold teznperatures. Outlook: fair. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER After a frost of 4.1 degrees, the day to Christchurch yesterday was cloudy, with a maximum temperature of 48.8 degrees.
