NEW DRAINAGE BOARD MEETS
MR H. P. SMITH ELECTED 1 CHAIRMAN Mr H. P. Smith was re-elected chairman of the Christchurch Drainage Board at the first meeting of the new board yesterday. The election of committees resulted:— Works.— Messrs F. R. Price (chairman), W. P. Glue, R. H. Stillwell, K. A. White, A. J. Smith, F. M. Brownie, and R. C. Neville. Finance.-r Messrs G. A. G. Connal (chairman)/ E. H. S. Hamilton (to act as chairman until the return of Mr Connal), G. Robinson, C. Williams, K. A. White and E. R. Price (until the return of Mr Connal). Construction.—Messrs R. C. Neville (chairman), C. S. Luney, W. P. Glue, A. J. McTainsh, F. R. Price and C. Williams.
