“Less Drilling For. Dentists”
[U.S. Information Service] NEW YORK. The dentist will not have to drill as much when filling large cavities if a new cavity sealing material proves as successful as first trials indicate. The material can securely fasten a plastic filling to a flat surface inside a tooth cavity. • This eliminates the extensive drilling that is needed to make dovetail grooves inside cavities to anchor the filling. The new material, whose composition has not yet been made public, was developed at the Eastman Dental Dispensary at Rochester, New York.
