Tea Auction Postponed
(Bee. Ift pjn.) COLOMBO, Jone 7. Today’s Colombo tea auction was Boctponed as a result of the Government's decision yesterday to halve the export duty of one rupee (la 6d) a pound, and to suspend the subsidy scheme. A spokesman for the Tea Traders* Association said the date of the next auction would be fixed only after Gazette notification of the Government's decisions and ths clarification of the Government's intentions regarding unsold stocks.
