N.Z. CATHOLIC TOURNAMENT CHRISTCHURCH BEATS AUCKLAND In the final of the New Zealand Catholic basketball tournament played in Christchurch yesterday, Christchurch beat Auckland by 25 goals to 19. The Christchurch "skyscraper” style of play combined with splendidly accurate shooting by the New Zealand representative (Azalea. Clarke) enabled Christchurch to win. The Christchurch defenders successfully concentrated on keeping, the ball away from Sylvia Letica, whose accurate shooting had been a feature of play in earlier rounds.
