WOMAN KILLED BY BUS (New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, June 3. An elderly woman was killed tomght when she was knocked down ■by a bus m the city area of Dunedin. She was Mrs Annie Scott, aged 71, of Dovecot, avenue, Dunedin. YOUNG MAN KILLED BY FALLING TREE (New Zealand Press Association) i PALMERSTON NORTH, June 3. A young man was killed at Kimbolton on Wednesday, when a falling tree struck him and pinned him to the ground. He was Alan Raymond Hazeldine, aged 25, of Kimbolton. Mr Hazeldine was working on the property of Mr H. E. Sainsbury, of Bryces line, Kimbolton. With his employer, he was felling some pinus trees in a plantation. CYCLIST INJURED When he fell from his cycle at the corner of Blenheim and Henderson’s roads at 5.30 p.m. yesterday, Alexander James Johnston, of Yaldhurst, suffered head injuries,. , He was taken to lAic Christchurch Public Hospital by a St. • John ambulance and admitted. His con-! dition last evening was renorted to be! satisfactory.
