INTER CLUB MATCHES The inter-club billiards tournament, controlled by the Canterbury Amateur Billiards Association, was continued this week. Seven matches have now been played, including the first half of the B grade competition. In this section, St. Albans Recreation has a lead of five points, having scored 16 points out of a possible 21 points. P. and T. is second, with 11 poipts. There was some improvement in the standard of play Jn the A grade games, but the position of the teams shows little change, compared with last week. However, there may be some change in the next two weeks, as W.M.C. I and Tramway will have byes.
The best breaks were: Simons (T.), 66, 67: Watson (W.M.C.), 48; Duncan (P. and T.), 44, 47; O’Callaghan (R.S.A. I), 47; Sutherland (W.M.C. II), 46; Johnston (A.A.C.), 45; Saunders (P.), 44; Collings (P.), 49: Blackburn (T.), 41. Results were:—
