TIME BOMB ON PLANE

Hong Kong police have detained for questioning “a number of Chinese” in an investigation into how a time bomb got aboard the ill-fated Kashmir Princess airliner, authoritative sources reported. A Hong Kong Government spokesman would not deny nor confirm this report The airliner, with Chinese Communist officials aboard, crashed off Sarawak on April 11. A Hong Kong Government spokesman said his Government had every reason to believe that the time bomb which caused the disaster had been put on the aircraft while it was in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Government was determined to do everything it could to establish all the facts and bring the guilty persons to justice. Full police inquiries were going on, the spokesman said.
