LEAGUE FOOTBALL REPRESENTATIVES

Sir,—"Victory Park” seems to have misunderstood my previous letter. No malice was meant regarding the two former Rugby Union players as persons or players. To quote my letter, “Second. strings or better” w*is the phrase used. The point in question is the choice of former Rugby Union players in preference to the talent that already exists in the League code. Surely “Victory Park” would not be able to say that this type of thing could be called an incentive for youger players to carry on with the code.— Yours, etc., GRANDSTAND CRITIC. May 27, 1955.
