Public Notice is Hereby Given that it is the intention of the Oxford County Council at its next Ordinary Meeting on the 6th day of June, 1955, to make and levy a General Rate of one and fivetwelfths of a penny in the pound, a Hosfiital rate of one-sixth of a penny in he pound, a Consolidated Loan Rate of one-eighth of a penny in the pound on all Rateable Property in the County of Oxford. Also in pursuant of the Water Supply Act to make and levy a Water Rate of one shilling and six pence per Acre (Minimum £1) on all rateable property in the Eyre Water Race Subdivision. A Water Rate of a flat rate of £2 10s plus Is per acre above the first acre on all rateable property in the Coopers Creek and Gammans Creek Subdivisions.

And all Rates as directed by Special Order of the North Canterbury Catchment Board. Such rates to be for the period commencing on the first day of April. 1955, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1956, and shall be due and payable in one sum on the 31st day of August, 1955, at the Office of the Oxford County Council. A rebate of 5 per centum. on the General Rate and all Water Rates as is paid before the expiration of thirty (30) days after the due date will be allowed.
