ATOM ENERGY USES
Geneva Conference Vice-Presidents (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) rw. TT 4 . N S W . YORK, May 21. The United Nations ■ SecretaryGeneral, Mr Dag Hammarskjold, has appointed six vice-presidents of the Geneva international conference on the peaceful uses of atomic energy, it was announced today. They are: General Bernadino C. de Mattos, of Brazil, Dr. W. B. Lewis, of Canada, Mr Francis Perrin, of France, Mr D. V. Skobeltzin, of the Soviet Union, Sir John Cockcroft, of Britain, ■and Dr. I. I. Rabi, of the United States. The president of the conference will be Dr. Homi J. Bhabha, of India. His appointment was announced in February.
The conference is to be held in Geneva on August 8, and will last 12 days.
