NATIONAL PARTY
FENDALTON ELECTORATE OFFICERS
As member of Parliament for the district, the Prime Minister (Mr S. G. Holland) addressed a large attendance at the annual meeting of the Fendalton electorate of the National Party. Mr Holland assessed the present political situation.
Mrs Holland, and the chairman of ithe Canterbury division of the National Party (Mr J. B. Jenkins), also attended.
The retiring president (Mr H. M. Bannehr) did not seek re-election because of bad health. Officers elected were:
Chairman, Mr H. Cordery; deputychairman, Mr D. A. Buchanan; secre-tary-treasurer, Mr G; Holmes; auditor, Mr C. H. Clemens; delegates to divisional committee, Mesdames F. E. Burrell, C. F. Tosswill, N. L. Samson, E. J. Cordner, and B. T. Bishop, Messrs H. Cordery, D. H. Buchanan, H. M. Bannehr, M. J. Russell, F. G. Weideman, E. B. E. Taylor, A. S. Westgarth, I. Firm, and J. Denny.
