NEWS FOR WOMEN Princess Anne “Strong, Bonnie Little Girl”

(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright)

(Rec. 8 p.m.) LONDON, May 23. Princess Anne is more delicate than Prince Charles and has needed special care, according to the author of a new book which is claimed to be an authoritative account of the Royal children, the “Daily Express” reported today. The author is Lady Peacock, wife of a former Buckingham Palace official. Sir Walter Peacock. She said in the book that the Princess’s diet had been carefully watched and as a result she was now a “strong, bonnie little girl.” She said the children’s Scottish nurse, Miss Helen Lightbody, insists on Prince Charles and Princess Anne

going to bed at 5 p.m. daily “and not being kept up to be shown off to friends and relatives.” The book continues: “That does not mean that the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh have abandoned control of the children to the nurse, as some people imagine. The Royal parents rush up to the second floor nurseries to bathe the children whenever possible and they have lots of fun.” It adds that the Royal children have not been told exactly who they are or their importance. "They *ie never addressed as His or Her Royal Highness, Prince or Princess, or even as Master or Miss,” it says.
