NATIONAL COACHING SCHOOL
ELEVEN-DAY COURSE ENDS
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. May 33. About 40 athletes, including seven women, attended the 11-day national athletic coaching school that ended at Day’a Bay, Wellington, last week. Mr J. Hutchinson who ran the school on behalf of the New Zealand Amateur
Athletic Association, said the standard was well up to that of former years. However, some of the younger candidates for coaching diplomas were not sufficiently drilled to become national coaches, and he thought more could be done in introductory cousres to prepare candidates for the national school. •
