WELL-KNOWN ACTRESS ASSISTS HER HUSBAND IN ELECTION CAMPAIGN—Mr J. D. Profumo and his wife (formerly Miss Valerie Hobson) at an election meeting at Stratford-on-Avon, England. Mr Profumo, who is Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the British Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, visited New Zealand in 1953 as a member of the crew of the British European Airways’ Viscount aircraft in the London to Christchurch air race. His wife, whom he married last December, was until recently starring in the London stage success, “The King and I.”
