Britain to Export Atomic Fuel
(Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON, May 23. Britain is to start exporting atomic fuel to European and Empire countries within a year, the ‘'Daily Express” said today. From then on. uranium fuel for electric power plants is expected to build up into a major export industry in which Britain stands a first-rate chance of leading the world, the newspaper said. The total export trade from atom fuel and the power station equipment which wis “burn” it is officially estimated to be worth at least £2,000,000,000 over the next 20 years. The fuel will consist of uranium enriched so it packs extra power, but it w?l not be rich enough to use in bombs. i
