TRAM JUMPS RAILS
35 PASSENGERS SHAKEN (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 23. Thirty-five passengers escaped with only a shaking when an outwardbound Avondale tram jumped the rails at Morningside, slewed 40 yards across the road, and crashed into a wooden fence about 3.30 p.m. today. One middle-aged woman passenger struck her head on an upright, and was taken to a doctor for treatment tor shock.
