Mr E) M. Wilson, of Christchurch, president of the Federated Mountain Clubs of New Zealand, has been selected to represent mountaineering and ski-ing interests on the new Mount Cook National Park Boatd. The death of Mr M. E. Lyons, formerly secretary of the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association, was referred to by the president of the Canterbury Kennel Club (Mr M. K. McDermott) at the club’s mid-year show on Saturday. He said that Mr Lyons had always been a great help to the club. Those present stood in silence as a mark of respect* Regret at the death of Mr Brian Moss, a member of the executive committee of the Federated Mountain Clubs of New- Zealand for the last three years, was expressed at the annual meeting of the federation on Saturday. Mr Moss lost his life with two other climbers in an accident near Mount Sefton v about December 30. Delegates to the meeting stood in silence as a mark of respect.
