T “ e United States retained possession of the Walker Cup today, winning the biamateur golf international against Britain by 10 games to 2. Having won all four foursomes yesterday they needed only two wins in today’s singles to be sure of avoiding a> defeat. The United States won six of the eight singles. lan Caldwell and David Blair were Britain’s only winners, against Dale Morey and Joe Conrad respectively, the margin in each case beinflha single hole. Singles results (united States names first): —D. Morey lost to I. Caldwell, 1 down; J. Conrad lost to D. Blair, 1 down; B. Cudd beat E. Milward, 2 up; H. Ward beat R. White, 6 and 5; W. Patton beat P. F. Scrutton, 2 and 1; D. Cherry beat J. B. Carr, 5 and 4; J. G. Jackson beat C. Ewing, 6. and 4; R. L. Yost beat J. L. Morgan, 8 and 7.
