TOWER CLOCK WINS STEEPLES (New Zealand Press Association) GISBORNE, May 22. The Poverty Bay Turf Club’s autumn meeting opened at Makaraka on Saturday. The weather was fine, and a big crowd watched splendid racing. The totalisator handled £40,185, an increase of £8550 compared with the corresponding day last year.
