420 SETS OF TWINS CONVERGE ON HOLLAND
LONDON, May 20. The people of Oirschot, Holland, are beginning to think they are seeing double as 420 pairs of twins from Holland and other places all over the world begin to arrive in the town for Europe’s four-day “Festival of Twins,” the Oirschot correspondent of the “Daily Mail” said today. Oirschot already has* 63 pairs of twins of its own. One Oirschot family alone has five pairs. The oldest pair to arrive so far for
the festival are the Von Heusen sisters from Germany, aged 84. The most versatile among the arrivals so far seem to be the two brothers from Austria who have brought a van load of 64 musical instruments, including their own piano and will take part in a special contest for musical twins. Doctors from all over Europe are also arriving, anxious to make a mass study of the behaviour of twins generally. • ■ Among the judges at the festival will be the Dutch Olympic champion, Fanny Blankers-Koen.
