The object of this address is to exhibit the teachings of the Apostles as set out in the New Testament on the vital subject of Eternal Life. , Eternal Life is the promise to the righteous through the great redemptive work of Jesus. To be redeemed from our present state is something which all mankind are m sore need. If man possesses an immortal soul, as widely supposed, then redemption from sin and its inevitable consequences—death, is superfluous. But man, being mortal because of sin, and death being the cessation of all conscious existence (Xsiah 28:14) (Ecc. 9:5). how necessary is redemption and how gracious is the Love of God in providing for man’s Salvation as he has done through the Lord Jesus Christ. “And this is the promise that He has promised us.
