U.N. ESSAY CONTEST RESULTS
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 20.
Placed competitors in the New Zealand section of the International United Nations Association essay contest, results of which were announced today, are Mr B. M. O’Connor, a journalist, of the “Evening Post,” Wellington. first; and Miss Lesla Kennedy, of the Vocational Guidance Office, Wellington, second. The secretary-organiser of the New Zealand Association (Mr A. G. Tait) said the two essays had been sent to New York where they would be in open competition with essays from other parts of the world.
