(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) VIBO VALENTIA (Italy), April 35. Police tonight arrested the mother and brother of a former convict who is alleged to have killed five .persons and to have sworn to murder 24 others., The mother and brother were alleged to have helped the former convict to escape into the mountains, where the police are staging a massive man-hunt for him. The hunt for the fugitive, whose name is given as Serafino Castagnali, entered its second week today with the quarry still hidden away somewhere in the rugged mountains of southern Italy. The five persons killed include the wanted man’s father. The 24 others threatened were prosecution witnesses at the trial five years ago when Castagnali was sent to prison for attempted murder. He was released a fortnight ago.
