BIBLE HALL Madras st., near Tuam st., Sunday, 6.30 p.m., God willing. “FOR MY NAME’S SAKE.” It is written concerning the name of Jesus Christ that it is, “The only name under heaven whereby men may be saved.” The way of salvation, which is in the Name of Jesus, is not an easy path, for it is beset with trials and tribulation. Paul exhorts the faithful, “that through much tribulation we must enter the Kingdom of God.” Jesus revealed how the righteous must suffer for goodwork:*, He Himself “was despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrow, aouainted with grief . . . stricken and wounded for our transgressions.” And yet He did nothing but good to all men, manifesting the abundance of God’s love. He opened up a way of life and love, a way which offers peace for the whole world, but the majority of mankind “prefer darkness rather than light,” His followers cannot expect different treatment than their Master received for upholding His Name, He Himself saying “You will be hated of all men for My Name’s sake: but he that endureth until the end shall be saved.” Matt. 10: 22. “Whoever, therefore, shall acknowledge Me before men, I also will acknowledge him before My Father which is in heaven.” v. 33.
