CRIPPLED CHILDREN SOCIETY
MEETING OF COMMITTEE Concern was expressed at a recent meeting of the committee of the Can-terbury-Westland branch of the New Zealand Crippled Children Society about difficulties encountered in the society’s rag drive through a clash with another similar effort.
The field officer reported travelling 987 miles since mid-March. She said 61 children had been provided with transport, and 55 homes had been visited.
The retiring transport officer reported covering 1118 miles, transporting children to clinic, physiotherapy, and X-ray examinations. Mr A. S. Rusden, of the Disabled Servicemen’s Re-establishment League, gave a talk on the rehabilitation of disabled persons.
