MILK
would like to endorse all that •victim has said about our city milk I, too, stayed on a farm recently and I can honestly state that their milk was richer than our cream. One day this week the milk smelt and tasted so dreadful that we couldn’t drink it; and when I attempted to pour it away during the evening it fell out in lumps. The last time this happened I lodged a complaint in writing, referring to the milk as “muck.” The only satisfaction I got was to be told that my letter was almost libellous and that their plant was second to none. I am not interested in the plant—only in receiving decent, wholesome milk.—-Yours, etc- . SICK OF IT. April 13, 1955.
[“lt is not possible to offer useful" comment without all the facts,” said Mr T. H. McCombs, chairman of the Christchurch Milk Company. “If anything similar happens we would be glad if the consumer would bring the bottle, contents and cap to us so that a full investigation can be made. This will help to clean up the cause of the trouble. The milk will be replaced by us. Faulty milk can be caused by wrong handling anywhere from the farm to the table. We are keen to give the public a perfect milk supply, and appreciate any help the public can give us.”]
