White Radioactive Rain
(Rec. 8.30 p.m.) OSAKA (Western Japan). April 20. Scientists in Osaka were today investigating a mysterious shower of white rain that left powdery white spots as big as beans, and showed a radioactivity count of 2600 a minute. A shower fell here yesterday, leaving car windshields, roofs, and umbrellas covered with a white film. Scientists at Osaka University believed that the radioactive white rain was caused by the current series of atomic tests at Nevada in the United States.
