Working Men’s Club.— A special meeting of the Waimairi County Council granted an application by the Riccarton Working Men’s Club to build clubrooms on a section in ' Wharenui road. The council imposed a condition that off-street parking facilities should be provided. The club owns about two acres in Wharenui road. At the next sitting of the Licensing Control Commission, which will be held in Christchurch next week, the club will apply for a charter.
