Israel-Jordan Agreement
(Rec. 9 p.m.) JERUSALEM, April 18. An agreement between Israel and Jordan intended to prevent or suppress immediately all outbreaks of firing and other hostile acts in the Jerusalem area was signed in Jerusalem today. The agreement, drawn up under United Nations supervision, was signed by the Israeli military commander and the commander of the Jordan police in the Jerusalem area. Its provisions include that only welltrained and disciplined men be employed in the front lines and that they be under the full control of their senior officers. Responsible officers are to take immediate action to stop firing or other hostile acts, as soon as they are reported to them, according to the agreement.
