Garrett) today- t Mr Garrett said it .was- now eight months since discussions had been held between Government representatives and film distributors, but nothing had yet come from these discussions. “The censor has been doing his valiant best with antiquated and inadequate regulations, and. ; it has been a good best. We’d like to see some action taken on thdse regulations.” said Mr Garrett. He said that this year’s conference of the New Zealand Film Institute had discussed censorship and licensing regulations.
