COLIN HORSLEY RETURNS
FIRST CHRISTCHURCH CONCERT IN MAY
Colin Horsley, the New Zealand-born pianist, returned to Christchurch yesterday after an absence of five years. He arrived on Tasman Empire Airways DC-6 from Sydney and last evening left for Wellington by air. He will return in May to give a recital and later he will appear with the National Orchestra and with Max Postal, the violinist. The first concert after his return will be given in Wellington on Wednesday night, which gives him very little breathing space after his recent long tour. During his five years away from New Zealand, Mr Horsley has given concerts in France, Belgium, and Sweden, as well as in Britain, where he made his home. Two years ago he also made a concert tour of Ceylon. On his way back to New Zealand he gave concerts in Malta, Singapore, and Australia.
