MENTAL HOSPITAL MILK SUPPLY
PASTEURISATION SCHEME BEING INVESTIGATED The possibility of the milk supply to the Sunnyside Mental Hospital being pasteurised is being investigated. This statement is made in a letter from the Minister of Health (Mr J. JL Hanan) to the Christchurch Metro-
politan Milk Board. “As you are well aware, my department is a staunch advocate of the pasteurisation of public milk supplies wherever this can be arranged, and’ I hope that it will be possible for the milk supplied to the Sunnyside Hospital to be conveniently and economically pasteurised. Investigations into this are being made at the precept time.”
The letter was received without comment.
