AWARD TO TIMARU SCHOOLBOY
SCHOLARSHIP TO STUDY IN UNITED STATES (New Zealand Press Association) TIMARU, April 18. R. M. Taiaroa, a fifth-year pupil and head prefect of the Timaru Boys’ Hign School, has been awarded an American Field Service Scholarship. This was announced by the Rector, Mr M. A. Bull, to the Timaru High School Board of Governors tonight The scholarship, a single award competed for throughout the Dominion, entitles Taiaroa to 12 months’ study in the United States. He will take it up during the third term of this year.
