PROPERTY AUCTIONS
A six-roomed bungalow at 64 Chancellor street was sold by public auction yesterday for £2250. Bidding opened at £2lOO and rose by one bid of £lOO and one of £5O. On a section of 21.9 perches, the property includes a garage. A property consisting of two semidetached dwellings on a section of 20 perches at 27 and 29 Conference street sold for £1065 after bidding had opened at £lO5O. At another auction a house of six main rooms at 56 Hackthorne road, Cashmere, was passed in at £3400. Bidding opened at £3OOO and rose by four bids of £lOO. The property is on a section of | acre. No bids were received for a twostorey bungalow at 11 Hawthorne street and it was passed in at the opening price of £3500. The property is on a section of 24 perches and contains seven main rooms, a laundry and a two-car garage.
