Mr A. Owen Wilkinson, who for many years has been secretary of the Glenelg Health Camp Committee, has tendered his resignation on account of ill-health. At a meeting of the committee last evening warm tributes were paid to the splendid work Mr Wilkinson had done for the health camp movement, to his unflagging interest in the welfare of the camp, and to the generous donations he had for many years made to its funds. It was recalled that for many years before a permanent camp was established at Glenelg, Mr Wilkinson had given strong support to children’s summer camps. It was decided to write to Mr Wilkinson expressing regret at his resignation and appreciation of his work for the movement. Mr K. T. Sugden, who has been acting secretary for several months, and who is a member of Mr Wilkinson’s firm, was appointed secretary.
